Kelly Rouzbehi
Kelly is our resident Gen-Zer and the latest addition to the MasterJack team, bringing her enthusiasm, humour, and creativity to the roles of Content Publisher and Marketing Assistant at Gilligan Sheppard.
After graduating from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a BFA in creative writing, Kelly packed up her bags and moved across the ditch from Gold Coast, Australia to here in Auckland to live with her partner.
While completing her studies, Kelly worked and interned in multiple creative roles, including working as the part-time digital marketing assistant for a small ecommerce business. In this role she taught herself the basics of digital marketing and used her skills in writing and design to help run their socials and create blogs for their website. She also completed online courses in SEO, to make sure her company’s content was engaging and searchable.
Now, she edits, proofs, writes and publishes compelling content across multiple platforms for our clients.
Kelly loves telling stories, whether it’s through a newsletter or Instagram post. She prides herself on crafting stories that touch hearts, feed brains, and evoke laughter, and lives to help others do the same.

“You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy plane tickets, which is kind of the same thing.”
Kelly has been catching flights from before she could walk, and since those early days has only continued to travel. From Canada to Cambodia, Kelly has visited over 20 countries at the age of 23. She loves visiting new places, immersing herself in different cultures, and of course trying different cuisines. A highlight, though, was her first solo trip in 2022, where she studied in the United States for six months as part of her university degree. Although she spent most of her time in San Jose (she studied at San Jose State University), she was also able to hit several other spots including Los Angeles, the Grand Canyon, Yosemite Park, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Vancouver, and even Hawaii. For her next trip, Kelly has set her sights on Japan and Singapore.
Outside of work, Kelly spends most of her time reading or exploring different bookshops, and has been known to drop hundreds of dollars in one shopping trip. As massive foodies, she and her partner are out trying different cafes and restaurants every week. Some of her Auckland favourites include Receptionist coffee, Mekong Baby, Seoul Night, and Ahi, however, her current all time favourite restaurant is the Michelin recommended Miku in Vancouver. Her foodie dream is to one day dine at a Michelin star restaurant. Food aside though, Kelly loves nothing more than spending her spare time playing and cuddling with her miniature dachshund, Fritz. At least when he’s not being a menace.
While she loves to get out and explore, Kelly also cherishes her time indoors. She often indulges in binge watching anime, Kdramas, or travel vlogs, and is not ashamed to admit that she can spend hours doom scrolling on TikTok. But when she’s feeling a little more inspired, Kelly loves to spend time writing novels or reviewing books. She also likes to dabble in arts and craft, particularly painting, and has recently taken an interest in photography and learning Japanese. But as a keen traveller at heart, she is more often than not caught sitting on the couch plotting her next trip abroad.
