Rachel Sturges
Rachel interviews the MasterJack clients and uses her creative and intellectual skills to write their stories.
After working in various roles for different industries, Rachel finally decided to qualify in something she really loves—journalism. This career allows Rachel to still spend time with her daughter while doing purposeful work. Since training in 2011, she has never looked back.
Since graduating, Rachel explored radio, newspapers, and copywriting. She has a passion for writing about the business world – meeting and talking to innovative business leaders inspires and energises Rachel.
“I like to find a different angle. Every business has its own story and craft compelling content around it.”
Rachel was drawn to MasterJack’s values and Lisa’s humour and feels that she can totally be herself.

“It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?” – Nelson Mandela
Rachel was born in the UK and spent her early years in a quaint English village in Northamptonshire. At the age of 10, her family relocated to Liverpool where she attended secondary school, picking up some street smarts along the way! Later, she moved to London to pursue her degree, with a few stints in France.
In 1995, Rachel embarked on a new adventure, moving to New Zealand with her husband Paul, a born Kiwi. She fell in love with the wild surf beaches of New Zealand, particularly Tawharanui and Mangawhai Heads.
An avid sailor, Rachel and Paul share a passion for sailing, often navigating the waters of the Hauraki Gulf and Coromandel in their yacht. Rachel is rarely seen without a book in hand, often juggling between two or three reads at once. She also enjoys indulging in movies, frequenting the theatre, relishing good food, and cherishing moments spent with her family and close friends.
